Reformer Pilates in Berlin – with red light and near-infrared

Reformer Pilates in Berlin as we understand it: women only, no more than eight women per class, 50 minutes of training – and at every Reformer its own panel with red light and near-infrared. You won’t find this combination in any other studio in the city.

Reformer Pilates in the heart of Berlin

Eight women, eight Reformers, warm light – and 50 minutes that belong to you alone. Our trainers teach in German and English.

What makes Reformer Pilates

The Reformer is not a fitness machine in the usual sense. It consists of a moving carriage that runs on springs – and that is exactly the difference. Instead of working against a rigid weight, you work against a resistance that pulls evenly through the whole movement. Your muscles not only have to perform the movement, but also brake it in a controlled way.

That hits above all the deep core muscles, which usually go unnoticed in ordinary machine training. After a few weeks the effect shows less in the mirror than in everyday life: sitting more upright, a more stable lower back, less tension in the neck.

Why the Reformer, not the mat

  • The resistance can be adjusted for every exercise – for the beginner and for the woman who has been training for three years.
  • Far more variety: foot and hand straps, footbar and moving carriage add up to dozens of variations.
  • The carriage forgives no carelessness. If you tip out of centre, you notice immediately – that trains posture faster than any cue from outside.
  • Joint-friendly, because the resistance never sets in abruptly, but stays even along the whole way.

Red light and near-infrared at every Reformer

This is the point that sets us apart from other Reformer studios in Berlin: with us, every participant has her own therapeutically approved panel right at the machine. No extra appointment, no extra charge, no queue in front of a single cabin.

Red light and near-infrared support circulation and metabolism and can promote the regeneration of muscles and tissue. Many participants describe feeling recovered more quickly after training.

And because we stay honest: light alone burns no fat. You do the work on the Reformer – the panel provides good conditions while you do. More on our page Reformer Pilates with red light.

Where you find us

Kolonnenstraße 54 in Berlin-Schöneberg, a few minutes from S-Bahn Julius-Leber-Brücke. From Kreuzberg, Tempelhof and Steglitz you are here in a short quarter of an hour – and because the classes are small, the trip is worth it from other districts too.

Which format suits you?

Six formats, all on the Reformer, all with red light and near-infrared:

For beginners and returners

You need no previous experience. RedGlow Foundation is built for the first class: we show you the machine, set the springs for you and start with the basics. In a group of no more than eight there is enough time for our trainers to correct each and every one.

The Reformer is also well suited for returning after a longer break, because the intensity can be adjusted so finely. If you want to come back after a period of discomfort, you will find further notes under Reformer Pilates for back pain – if in doubt, please check with your doctor first.

How your first class runs

Come a few minutes early and we will calmly show you the machine: carriage, springs, straps, footbar. Then we set up your spot together and your red-light panel is switched on.

The 50 minutes begin calmly, with breathing and alignment, and become more demanding step by step. There is always a short stretch at the end. You don’t need to be able to do anything, and you don’t need to bring anything except comfortable sportswear and non-slip grip socks.
