Pilates near Tempelhof
Reformer Pilates for women from Tempelhof – 50 minutes, no more than eight participants, with red light and near-infrared at every machine. Our studio is at Kolonnenstraße 54, right on the district border.
Why women from Tempelhof come to us
Kolonnenstraße lies at the seam between Schöneberg and Tempelhof. Coming from northern Tempelhof, you are here by bike in under ten minutes – from Mariendorf or Tempelhofer Feld it hardly takes longer. That is exactly why many women train with us who formally live in Tempelhof and never wanted to drag themselves to Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg.
Reformer Pilates is well represented in Berlin, but rarely in this constellation: women only, small groups and a dedicated light panel at every single Reformer. You won’t find that anywhere else in Berlin.
Reformer Pilates – what it actually is
The Reformer is a machine with a moving carriage and spring resistance. The resistance can be adjusted for every exercise, and because the carriage moves, every movement demands control from the deep core – the muscles that go unnoticed on ordinary gym machines. After a few weeks you notice it in everyday life: sitting more upright, a more stable lower back, less tension in the neck.
The difference from mat Pilates
Mat Pilates works with your body weight alone. That is good, but it has limits – upwards, because the resistance cannot be increased, and downwards, because some exercises are simply too hard without support. The Reformer solves both: the springs can support you or challenge you, depending on the exercise and how you feel that day. That is why a group of eight women at very different levels works.
Red light and near-infrared at every Reformer
Above every machine hangs a panel with red and near-infrared light. Both wavelengths penetrate the tissue and can stimulate local circulation and metabolism in the muscles. Many participants report feeling recovered more quickly after class.
To be honest: light does not replace training. It is an addition that makes the class more pleasant and can support recovery – we claim no more than that, and neither does the research.
Getting here from Tempelhof
By S-Bahn: S1 to Julius-Leber-Brücke, then five minutes on foot. From Tempelhof itself, the bike is usually faster than public transport. Parking in the side streets is mostly possible.

Who it suits
Beginners who have never stood on a Reformer – Foundation is made exactly for that. Women who sit a lot and feel their back. Returners after a break. And everyone who already trains and is looking for a second, calmer pillar next to strength or running.
If you have an acute injury, are freshly operated on or pregnant, please check with your doctor first and tell your trainer before class.
Your first class
Book RedGlow Foundation, come 15 minutes early, and we will show you the machine and set the springs for you. You only need sportswear and non-slip grip socks.
