RedGlow Power – Level 2
The next step: more pace, more spring resistance, flowing transitions. RedGlow Power is our Level 2 class for women who feel confident on the Reformer and want more – 50 minutes, no more than eight participants.
Who is RedGlow Power for?
For you, once the basic exercises are in place. When you no longer have to think about where the straps go, and during footwork you can focus on the muscle underneath instead of the foot position.
For most participants that is roughly eight to twelve RedGlow Foundation classes – or comparable Reformer experience from another studio. If you come from elsewhere and are unsure, just tell your trainer briefly before class.
What sets Level 2 apart from Level 1
Three things change, and together they make the difference:
- The pace. We explain less and work more. The class has a flow, and the transitions between exercises become part of the training.
- The resistance. More spring tension, longer levers, fewer points of support. Your core has to hold more.
- The complexity. Exercises are combined instead of worked through one by one – leg work with trunk rotation, arm pulls in instability.
How a class runs
A short warm-up, then straight into the flow. We work in blocks: legs, core, back and shoulders, with short cardio sequences in between that raise your pulse without technique suffering.
Your trainer offers options – a lighter and a harder variation for every exercise. You decide in the moment how much you want right now. That is not giving in, that is how Pilates works: clean before heavy.
At the end we stretch out, deliberately longer than in Level 1 – with this workload your muscles need it.
What you get out of it
- Strength you notice in everyday life. Not strength in the sense of maximum weight, but the kind that carries you upright through a long day.
- Definition. Regular work against spring resistance shapes – visibly, not massively.
- Endurance. The cardio sequences challenge your cardiovascular system without loading the joints.
- Mobility under tension. We no longer separate stretching and strength here – this is the point where Pilates starts to feel really good.
Red light and near-infrared – included
As in every one of our classes, your Reformer has its own panel with red light and near-infrared. At Level 2, where you work more intensely, it is especially pleasant: near-infrared penetrates deeper into muscle and connective tissue and can support circulation, tissue metabolism and recovery after training.
Whoever recovers faster trains more often. And frequency is what really counts in the end.
What to bring
Sportswear and non-slip grip socks. You really should bring a water bottle here – Level 2 makes you sweat. We provide everything else.
How often per week?
Two to three sessions a week is a good rhythm. Many participants combine two Power classes with one Glow – Stretch & Infrared session for recovery – a well-rounded combination.
Frequently asked questions about RedGlow Power
How do I know I am ready for Level 2?
Ask your trainer after a Foundation class. She sees whether your technique holds and will tell you honestly. Moving up too early is no fun and brings nothing.
I come from another studio. Can I join straight away?
Usually yes, if you have trained regularly on the Reformer. Please come a little early and tell your trainer briefly what you have done so far.
Is Level 2 too hard after a break?
After a longer break, a Foundation class is usually the better way back in – afterwards you return without the sore-muscle shock.
Do you teach in English?
Yes. Say so before class and your trainer will cue in English.
How big are the classes?
A maximum of eight women, each on her own Reformer with her own panel.
What does a class cost?
Book single classes or save with a 5, 10 or 20 class card. All cards are valid for all class formats. Current prices in the timetable.
