Pilates Friedenau – women-only Reformer Pilates
Women-only Reformer Pilates for Friedenau: 50 minutes, no more than eight participants, red light and near-infrared at every machine. From Friedenau it is just two stops on the S1 to our studio at Kolonnenstraße 54.
From Friedenau to the Reformer in no time
Friedenau and the Rote Insel are closer than many people think. The S1 runs from Friedenau station via Schöneberg straight to Julius-Leber-Brücke, and from there it is a short walk to the studio. By bike it takes about ten minutes along Hauptstraße or through the quiet side streets around Innsbrucker Platz, so a class fits easily before work or into a lunch break.
Many women from Friedenau come to us because the neighbourhood has yoga and gyms, but no women-only Reformer studio with red light at every machine.
Getting here
By S-Bahn: S1 from Friedenau towards Oranienburg, two stops to Julius-Leber-Brücke, then about five minutes on foot to Kolonnenstraße 54.
By bike: Along Hauptstraße to Kolonnenstraße, ten to fifteen minutes depending on where you start. You can lock your bike right outside the studio.
By car: Via Hauptstraße and Dominicusstraße. Parking in the side streets is limited, so allow a few minutes.
What to expect on the Reformer
The Reformer is a machine with a moving carriage and springs. The trainer sets the right resistance for every exercise; the springs can support you or challenge you. Because the carriage rolls, your deep muscles work the whole time. The training is easy on the joints and still more demanding than it looks.
Women only, small groups
Only women train here, a maximum of eight per class. The trainer comes to you several times per class, corrects your pelvis and shoulders and adjusts the springs. Read why we are a women-only studio on Women-only Pilates in Berlin.
Red light and near-infrared at every Reformer
Above every Reformer hangs its own panel with red and near-infrared light. No other studio in Berlin equips every machine like this. Both wavelengths reach into the tissue and can stimulate circulation and metabolism in the muscles. Many of our members say they recover faster after class and find it easier to let go of tension.
To be honest about it: light does not burn fat and it does not replace training. You do the work on the Reformer; the panel creates good conditions for it. More on our page Red Light Pilates Berlin.
