Pilates Mariendorf – women-only Reformer Pilates

Women-only Reformer Pilates for Mariendorf: 50 minutes, no more than eight participants, red light and near-infrared at every machine. Our studio at Kolonnenstraße 54 in Schöneberg is about twenty minutes from northern Mariendorf.

Why women from Mariendorf come to us

Mariendorf has gyms, but no Reformer Pilates studio like ours: women only, small groups and a light panel at every single Reformer. Anyone looking for that usually ends up travelling to Kreuzberg or Mitte and spends more time on the train than on the machine. Kolonnenstraße is the closer option: from Tempelhofer Damm you reach Schöneberg directly, without going through the city centre.

Getting here

By public transport: U6 from Alt-Mariendorf or Westphalweg to Tempelhof, change to the Ring (S41/S42) to Schöneberg, then one stop on the S1 to Julius-Leber-Brücke. From there it is a few minutes on foot to Kolonnenstraße 54.

By bike: Along Tempelhofer Damm or across Tempelhofer Feld to Kolonnenbrücke, 15 to 25 minutes depending on your starting point. Bikes can be locked right outside the studio.

By car: Via Tempelhofer Damm and Kolonnenstraße. Parking in Schöneberg is limited, so allow a few minutes or take the bike.

Reformer Pilates in a nutshell

The Reformer is a machine with a moving carriage and springs. The resistance can be adjusted for every exercise, and because the carriage rolls, your deep muscles keep working to stabilise you. The result is a workout that is easy on the joints and much harder than it looks. No jumping, no impact, no heavy weights.

Women only, a maximum of eight

Only women train at WeLovePilates, and with eight per class the trainer comes by several times. More on Women-only Pilates in Berlin.

Red light and near-infrared at every Reformer

Above every Reformer hangs its own panel with red and near-infrared light. No other studio in Berlin equips every machine like this. Both wavelengths reach into the tissue and can stimulate circulation and metabolism in the muscles. Many of our members say they recover faster after class and find it easier to let go of tension.

To be honest about it: light does not burn fat and it does not replace training. You do the work on the Reformer; the panel creates good conditions for it. More on our page Red Light Pilates Berlin.
